Berkeley is in California, on the West Coast, where the climate ranges from foggy coast to hot inland valleys, wildfire season can affect air quality in late summer, and traffic is the main thing to plan around. Getting around Berkeley is easiest by car; street parking is metered in busy downtown areas, and most suburban businesses have their own lot. The food here is good, not great, but how many places are? The chicken is tender and flavorful just not near enough for $21 bucks, my son had the shawarma wrap which he liked. As you can see they pretty much fill up the plate with rice to compensate for the lack chicken, and for some reason they're extremely cheap with pita bread. The cucumber tomato salad was odd to say the least, drowned in what my guess would be a type of tzakiki sauce. The service was good as was the server, would I go back, ehhh' that's up for debate. There's lots of Med places in East Bay. The Superb-intendent π

Finally ate here and the food is really quite good. Mezze platter was delicious and I was able to get gluten free pita! They also have a lot of vegetarian options, many featuring impossible meat. So I had the Impossible wrap and itβs really well spiced, very tasty and huge! Leftovers! The only disappointment was the spanakopita which was very bland and didnβt seem to have any feta in it. My mom was very disappointed. They offered to remake it which was very nice. Weβll be back!

The hummus is really good. My salmon was super dry and didn't have much flavor. The spanakopita didn't have that "spanakopita" flavor like most. My husband didn't care for his food at all. The place is cute and the staff is nice.

Pretty good beef and lamb skewers with rice and their white sauce, on top of the appetizer we ordered with hummus. One comment though on the food (not sure if itβs the beef or the lamb skewer), is that i donβt think the skewer was as fresh as it could have been, hoping that this is just a one off. Overall, the servers were nice and the they have a nice relaxing atmosphere.

Some vegan options. Had the impossible platter in the past and it was enjoyable. This trip, liked the lentil soup to start. Then Greek salad with no feta and side of 4 falafel. Falafel were decent size and not small pebbles. Crispy on outside and soft inside without being mushy. Added nice hefty to the salad. Usually there because of non vegan companion eater, so limited choices. Friendly service and effective though not very busy at early dinner hour.
